In collaboration with Prof. Sebastian Mackowski, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland, Dr. Brotosudarmo combined natural light harvesting complexes with metallic nanoparticles to develop Biohybrid Solar Cells – and found enhancement of absorption capability of light harvesting complex when it deposited on a semicontinuous silver film separated by 25-nm thick silica spacer. This result was published in Plasmonics, Springer Verlag, with impact factor of 3.526.
